Renewal Requirements First time Arizona real estate salesperson's licenses are still issued for a term of two years; however upon first and subsequent renewals the license is good for four years each time. You must renew your license on or before the last day of the month in which it was issued. If the last day of the month falls on a weekend, you may renew on the following Monday. If that Monday is a legal holiday, you may renew on the following Tuesday.
Renewal Window: You may file an application for license renewal up to 90 days prior to the license expiration date, or up to 1 year after license expiration (a grace period). If your license has expired, you cannot conduct real estate until you renew your license and your status is "active". After the grace period expires, your license will be terminated. Once your license is terminated (expired more than one year ago), you must apply again as if applying for an original license. Late Fees: During the grace period you can file for a renewal; however you must pay a late fee. Late fees for Salespersons are $10 per month not to exceed $80. The late fees for brokers are $20 per month not to exceed $160.
You must complete 24 hours of approved continuing education every two years to renew a real estate license. Of the 24 hours required for renewal, you must obtain three hours credit in each of the following subjects:
